Vinissimo !

The "La Grappe d'or" cellar is managed with extreme care.

Conservation and storage conditions are strictly respected.

Would you like to start with a flute of champagne? The major French names are represented, with the high point being the exceptional "Cristal brut 1999" by Louis Roederer.

This range of champagne is extended with the promotion of winegrower's champagnes and some very highly regarded rosés, including "Veuve Clicquot Vintage 1998".

White wines from Alsace, Jura, Bourgogne (Burgundy), the Rhône valley, Provence, Corsica, Languedoc-Roussillon, Bordelais and the Loire Valley: a programme with many nuances which deserves proper tasting and the greatest respect.
For red wines, some of the most sought-after vintages are offered: this includes the great rise of the Burgundy wines with the Côtes de Nuits, Côtes de Beaune, Côtes chalonnaises and beaujolais. And let's not forget the Rhone Valley wines - the sample "Hermitage" (E. Guigal) alone is worth the trip.

Provence, Corsica, Languedoc and Roussillon are admirably well represented. For Bordeaux wines, it's the American Grand Prix of race goers, the last word...

This "opening to the world" is interesting and original, with excellent-quality wines from Germany, United States, Luxembourg, Portugal, Italy, Chile, New Zealand, etc..

Bread at la Grappe d'Or, a long history...

Bread is a true symbol of life. It marries all nature's treasures and offers unrivalled nutritional qualities. Since the start of time, man has always tried to improve it to find the perfect balance between the great love taste for tasty things.

As a result of the reflection around this strong symbol and gastronomic art, bread has always been treated with dignity and respect at La Grappe d'Or.

This is why it is often included right from the pre-dinner mises en bouche, for example in a traditional Orval grissini, and it accompanies and enhances all dishes.

There are five different breads, one for each weekday: bread with olives, parmesan, barley... a stunning variety and list. You should be aware, these are touches of flavours that become part of the structure of the bread. The tastes remain subtle and create spots of intense flavour in the palate.

Shaped, risen and cooked on-site, these breads are of course prepared with high-quality handmade flours.

As a result of the increasing number of clients who ask if they can take our bread home, we have decided to offer you a special package, composed of an 800g boule campagnarde rustic loaf, a nut and raisin bread and a rose praline brioche.

The boule campagnarde is truly the traditional family bread par excellence. It is composed of a mix of 2 flours, one called ?9 cereals? and the other called "campagnarde" (rustic), which enables a good balance between nutritional and taste qualities. This bread, risen with baker's yeast and leaven, very rich in vegetable proteins, offers a crumb which is both dense and light at the same time. Its crust is reminiscent of the good old breads of the past and it gives off an irresistible smell when fresh. Its minimum conservation time is three days.

The nut and raisin bread is fairly substantial and excellent for forming the holy trio: bread, wine and cheese. Even with cheeses with very strong flavours, the bread will not lose its distinctive taste in the mouth.

The brioche is the cherry on the cake. It is presented in form of a traditional Belgian craquelin, but the sugary base is made with rose pralines. It tastes as good as it looks.

This service is also a bonus for the village, which no longer has a bakery...and its inhabitants are no longer required to go to Virton to enjoy high-quality bread with guaranteed freshness.
